• I updated my site after a long period of maintaining an older version. My site has been having many troubles over the past few weeks installing simple plugins.

Recently I went to install a sticky slider plugin and after doing so, my website is down and I can’t even access the admin panel. The site in question is spacerocks.com. Any help will be highly appreciated.

I have not backed up the site and all changes were made on the live version.

The blog I need help with is spacerocks.ca

  • Login to the site via your FTP Program.
Go to the WordPress Plugins Directory and find where the Plugin is installed.
Delete the WordPress Plugin folder and/or files from your server

    BACK UP SITE!

a few suggestions if you have installed a new plugin and your website became inaccessible….

-ask your webhosting vendor if they have any backups of your website available
-you can remove the folder of plugin that is causing the problem if you have access to the file manager in your webhosting account. you can also remove via FTP/SFTP access.
plugins folders are located in the folder WPContent.

not sure which site you are referring to: gttp://www.spacerocks.com/ or http://spacerocks.ca

Hi. Thank you both for your help.

I am unsure if FTP access is used with this site. Is there anyway to know for sure?

FTP login details are available from your webhosting vendor.
Alternatively, many webhosting companies provide access to a file manger which contains the WPContent folder.
