Sidebar links & RSS
-
I am currently using my sidebar Links list as a type of miniblog, storing interesting or helpful links to sites I find. In the back of my head I have the nagging sensation that Links weren’t really set up so much for this type of use, but it is VERY convenient because a) they store all the information I need, and b) they are all set up & ready to go. So anyway, in my quest to set up Links-as-miniblog, here are my questions:
Is there an easy way to set up an RSS feed for the Links? I know it is probably possible to copy and hack the existing wp-rss2.php page, but it looks a little daunting so I was wondering if anyone else had done it and could shed some light…
Is my thinking flawed in using Links for this type of thing? I have set up a Page to view all Links posted, and when I get some time I want to look at setting it up a little like the archive categories page, where you can view by category and the results are paged. Is this possible?
I have read other posts about setting up separate blogs and then importing them into the sidebar, but I would like to avoid that if possible. You can see my current setup in action at http://design.sneak.co.nz
