Sidebar dimensions

Hi there. I have a few widgets on the right sidebar, including an email signup form, categories, recent posts & a ‘follow me on twitter’ widget. I am happy with the width of the sidebar, but the widgets are all too spread out vertically and I would like them much more compressed. How do I do that? (CSS hero doesn’t seem to work on this)
