sidebar bumping down when content width exceeds limits

    I have an rss feed that fits in my left sidebar of my site.

    occasionally some items (lines) in the news feed are too long or they are straight without spaces for example:

    vagg/vaggm@gnnewspaper.com

    so as you can see this character block takes up quite a bit of pixel width and the pixel width of that character block EXCEEDS the pixel width of my sidebar by about 5 pixels or so. But even if it exceeds it by just 1 pixel it will still BUMP The sidebar down to the bottom of the blog…

    does anyone know of a good solution for this in terms of CSS or other wise?
