  • clicking on a ‘leave a comment’ link in a post will lead you to single.php.

you may need to edit this template as well to remove the sidebar.

if you want your site to be sidebar free, you need to go through all template files of your theme and check for and remove <?php get_sidebar(); ?>.
also change the <div id="container"> as discussed earlier.

    Brilliant!
    Thanks alchymyth
It’s hard to tell how much you can break by just fiddling.
But, correct me if I’m wrong, can you virtually do anything in a theme folder and if wrong, just replace?

as long as you have a copy of the original theme (or know where to download it) you can’t really do too much wrong.

regular backup copies of working theme files also help to have peace of mind; and backups of the database.
