Hi Nataliette,
Please upgrade to v1.3.1 check your widget settings. Check the correct username is input (without the @ symbol), check you have the options selected as you want for the Twitter button and click save.
Detailed here too – with some screenshots http://www.planet-interactive.co.uk/simple-twitter-tweets/
All the best
Hi! Thanks for your reply.
I have the latest version 1.3.1. My username is simply the username without the @ symbol. When I click save, only my tweet shows without username, like this:
I had spaghetti for lunch today
3h ago
instead of:
@my_username: I had spaghetti for lunch today
3h ago
Thank you in advance!
Oh also, just wondering if it would be possible to link the timestamp to the exact tweet’s page rather than my twitter userpage.
Sorry for the consequent postings.
I have noticed that the timestamp is inaccurate. When I posted a tweet just now, it says it was posted 8hours ago. FYI my current timezone is GMT+8, perhaps you could highlight having consistent timezone as WordPress settings, thank you.
Hi nataliette
1st post: most users are just using Tweets for display – their own promo etc. so not relevant for this plugin to show you tweeted your own tweets 😉
2nd post: in relation to point one, most users want to promote their feeds, their tweets etc. so the date/time link lining to their timeline is more valuable than the tweet itself which is available from the timeline you see when you click the link.
3rd post: We noticed this too and are looking into it. Thx for all your feedback – good to know how your using it etc.
Hope the plugin serves you well.
