• I downloaded the Shortstat plug-in and activated it. when I click on Shortstat in the Dashboard, I get a whole load of little windows, most of which contain and error that includes “wp_ss_stats’ doesn’t exist”

The plug-in’s page assures me “It just works” but in my case it doesn’t.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Deactivate the plugin, if you can. If you can’t, delete the plugin file. Now, make sure that you have the two installation scripts and three upgrade scripts in /wp-admin/. If you don’t, download WordPress and upload those scripts to /wp-admin/. Now, activate the plugin again. Once the plugin is correctly activated (with the tables created), you can safely remove the two installation scripts and the three upgrade scripts from /wp-admin/. Unfortunately, some plugins require these installation or upgrade scripts in order to create tables in your MySQL database.

    install.php and install-helper.php are both in wp/wp-admin

    So are upgrade-functions.php and upgrade-schema.php and upgrade.php

I did not delete them after my previous upgrade. So maybe that is not the problem?

I have not upgraded to 1.5.1.3 yet. Do I need to?

i have same problem! and i have 1.5.1.3!!

Has anyone noticed that the plugin is slowing your sites down *dramatically*? It didn’t used to do this, but lately, it seems all 3 sites I run it on are having this issue. Even the plugin author’s site, is very slow.

As I mentioned in another thread, and someone confirmed, you probably need to flush the database tables for Shortstat from time to time. These types of plugins can “grow” a huge table quickly – hence the “It didn’t used to do this“.

    i have same problem:
