Shortcodes in topics

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to use shortcodes from other plugins in a topic e.g. where a post contains a link to a Memphis Docs file [mdocs single-file=”5423″]. The forum post displays the shortcode itself, rather than executing it by serving up the document.
