short code does not work in widget
-
Love your plugin. I was using it in the widget on the top toolbar of my website http://www.davidsconsultants.com which is using the karma theme.
It worked fine until I upgraded wp to 4.3 and then it disappeared. Now I need to add the shortcode into a text widget in order for the plugin to appear on the top toolbar.Originally I thought it was a template issue – and wrote to truethemes and here is their reply:
This is not an actual issue with the Theme but instead an issue with the WP Accessibility Plugin you are using.
In the Top Toolbar you added the WP Accessibility and that is what’s not showing.
If you add any other Widget such as a Text Widget, you will see it displays nicely.
If you disable Karma Theme all together and enable one of WordPress core Themes such as Twenty Fourteen and add that same Widget to a Sidebar, you will see that it doesn’t display either. You will have to contact the Plugin support for help with the Plugin.
thanks for your help

It’s normal for shortcodes not to render inside text widgets; is there a reason you can’t use the WP Accessibility widget itself, since that’s also available?
sorry perhaps I was unclear
it appears fine in the text widget
but not as its own WP accessibility widget
thanksHaving the same issue. WP accessibility widget is available in widgets area, but a no-show when placed from there. It DOES show up when using the customiser.
Just my 2 cents.
This should be fixed now. It seems like WordPress 4.3 doesn’t display a widget if it doesn’t have any settings saved. This widget really doesn’t require any settings, but as a result, it didn’t render. I added a title setting in the latest release.
Note that WordPress doesn’t require there to be a *value* in the setting; you can still use a blank title, it just requires the setting to be present.
