Hi so the shipping class “like parent” suddenly stopped working in my variable products. so every product with variation is now showing a shipping rate based on the “not classified shipping rate” the “new” shipping class i discrovered when nothing was working. is it a woocommerce update? because it wasnt there before. i had to asign a rate to that “not asignes class” and now all my products with variations are asignes as the not shipping asigned rate. BIG PROBLEM
how can i solve this big big problem?

you have just saved my life.
i’ve been 2 days with no one making purchases at my page until i found out the shipping option completely dissappeard in all variable products. so it was a wordpress update problem or a woocommerce update problem? i just dont get how did it broke in first place
i just fixed it manually but i cant even image how many people is having the same problem right now.
how could this just happend without any warnings?
Thank you so so much for anwsering so fats.

for everyone else with this problem you can manualy fix this changing some lines

you are welcome. it was the update 3.0.2 -> 3.0.3 of woocommerce it seems. I figured out, that you could also set the shipping class for EACH variation to solve this problem. We actually sold a couple items without shipping cost, because we saw it so late. I spent the whole day trying to figure this out. I’m so glad it is just working right now.

i also noticed that i could fixed it by setting the shipping class for each variation but it would have take me a year to complete that task! most of my products have many variations.
the wirde thing is i just realized something was wrond afer 2 complete days with no sales at my store and a custommer telling me he had no shipping option to select. How can it be possible that woocommerce doesnt fix this immediatly or warn the users about a problem. i have to figure out something is wrong after missing 2 working days with no sales its so sad.

You have to consider, that both wordpress and woocommerce are completely free to use and i appreciate all the work people put into it. That being said… thank god i found a fix for this so quickly and i feel sorry for all the people that updated and don’t know what’s wrong with their shop. I will now think twice before doing any update to my shop…
