• okay, I need help on a few things… most of what I need to do, I already know how to do and have… kinda-sorta made it work…

    http://future-bound-entertainment.com/

I basically want to turn my website, which is a veeeeeeeeeeeeery basic HTML site into a wordpress site, so I started working with wordpress experimenting and such.

    http://www.future-bound-entertainment.com/prototype/

and I got it to work… sorta… I need to know a number of things, I need to know how to make these comics appear on different pages, with blogs only relevant to that comic appearing on the page below the comic.

And I need to know how to make a custom navigation menu… I kind of know how to make individual pages for each comic have their own theme (or rather just the same theme, with the banner and backgroudn image changed) but information on that would be greatly appreciated.

Please I really need this help, I know my webcomic is not that great but I will be able to handle a lot more content when powered by wordpress.

  • Such specific site design should be requested of the theme provider or other source of this functionality. It is not WP core, nor a WP troubleshooting issue.

Wow thanks for not helping at all. I ahve seen dozens of threads on similar issues, I am not asking for changes in the theme I am asking for some CSS help and how to display blogs from specific categories on sub-pages…

that is all… I need help, not to have my problems dismissed… and I need it ASAP with no bullcrap or fluff

is that seriously just your response, basically saying “ask someone else”

I need help with wordpress functionality… really nothign I need help with has to do with the theme 🙁

No, we want to help, but there are several ‘comicpress’ themes, plugins, providers that should be researched for help.

You can search above about how to create pages and posts and I suggest a multipage comic (so setup as a comic book is) can be one page or post and broken up using
    <--!nextpage-->

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_link_pages

    For CSS, see: http://codex.wordpress.org/CSS

For additional help with WP see:

And per forum rules, please search first.

Yeah, I have searched… and everything I have found has been as helpful as being bludgeoned with a sack of turnips, nearly every single tutorial I have found has either passed the baton (there is a ton of wordpress information out there, so i am nto going to bother telling you), been a bunch of fluff, or complete gibberish.

Well he was not much help was he? .. most people respond with some CSS knowledge to help

Custom navigation? the images for the comic or the menubar?

individual sections can be CSS targeted with body classes

no, most people really arent good at helping… part of the reason why I want to learn this stuff, I feel like I might be a little more helpful since I am stupid enough to struggle so badly.

I actually figured out all of my problem except for one, and that is the creation of custom landing pages via templates for my individual comics, once that problem is solved I will be able to make my website rather awesome looking 😀

Thankfull though, I have already started updating the parts of the site that I can update.
