    I just installed Autoptimize. When I go to the Settings pags and click Optimize HTML Code, Optimize Javascript Code and Optimized CSS code the checkmarks do not stay checked when the page reloads. And, the cache folders are empty. I am hosting on GoDaddy Managed WordPress.

    Am I missing something?
    thanks

    hi @manciaux;
    Settings are implemented in a very default wordpress manner, nothing fancy there. you could try going to wp-admin/options.php and search for autoptimize_css, autoptimize_js and autoptimize_html and set the setting to on and click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

    If even that does not work, then you might have some kind of plugin (or theme) conflict (could even be a plugin that is changing AO’s options), in which case you should disable/ enable plugins one at a time (and switch theme for a second) and check if you can get the AO settings to stick.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    The settings did finally stick. It appears that there is a long delay (several minutes in my case) before they are actually saved to the database. I assume some optimization is going on in the background and the settings get saved late in the process.

    Anyway, it seems to work now. thanks!
