    Hi,

    I have two problems: UpdraftPlus set to backup to Google Drive, which it did for several months, but then it stopped in late August. Now it backs up to the hosting server. There is still plenty of storage space on my Google Drive.

    Second, I had it set to retain only 3 backups, but it retains all.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    It sounds like the backup is failing to complete.
    Could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This log can be found in the Existing Backups tab of the UpdraftPlus settings page.

    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi,

    The pattern in the log file is symptomatic of running out of account space on your web hosting server. Can you check your web hosting account space?

    Hi David,

    Yes, I am running out of space there (and was warned about it by the host), but that’s part of the problem. I set up UpdraftPlus to back up to Google rather than the server, plus it’s only supposed to leave 3 copies of backups. It seems to be leaving everything.

    Can you post a link to the log file of the most recent backup? It sounds like it’s having trouble moving them to Google Drive after creating them.
