    Hey all,

I’m using aThemes Perth theme, with siteorigin page builder and toolset types.

I don’t know what I did, but I messed up my services page, and I can’t get it back.

I created the parent “Services” page in Pages, and then created 6 child pages for each of the 6 services that my company offers. (Accounting, Administration, Start-Up, Marketing, Taxes, Other)

I created the same 6 services in the “Services” Type tool, chose the icon, and inserted the link from each of my child pages (claxtonconsulting.ca/servives/accounting)

I went back to my parent “Services” page, and with page builder, added a row and added the Perth Services A Widget.

It worked for a while, except when I clicked on the links, they didn’t go to my child pages, they went to a new permalink that was created in the Services tool (claxtonconsulting.ca/services/accounting2)

Then I went into “Edit Post Types” under the Types plugin, went to “services” and tried to play around with the settings so that I could have the links go to the right pages. When I went to save it, it said “You cannot use this slug because it is already used or a reserved word. Please choose a different slug.” So i changed the slug from “services” to “services2.”

That’s where it all went downhill. Now nothing shows up on http://claxtonconsulting.ca/services/

It should have 6 little spinny icons like on the Perth demo, one for each of the services I made. I don’t know where they went, because when I go to Pages > Services, the row & widget are still there and set up correctly.

Any help in resolving this would be much appreciated!

I think I answered your question in the Types Forums already.

You will need to change the Slug of your Post Type back to what it was on the moment you created your Posts and change the Slug of your conflicting page/ post that uses the same slug.

    thanks

@meganleigh72, I am having a similar problem. How did you fix your problem?

    Exactly as mentioned here:

You cannot have the same Page Slug and Post Type Slug.
So, a Post Type Slug must be unique on your Website.

This means, you should change either the Page slug or the Post Type slug that conflicts.
