Separate public and private calendars

Is it possible to have two separate calendars in the same WordPress install? We’re going to have a public area and a membership area. In the public area we only want to display categories/events open to the public. In the membership area we would display categories/events open to people who have paid for a membership. Both areas would have free and paid events.
