• Right now, I used the WordPress tutorial and put my files in a separate directory from my blog.
As the tutorial said they would, my edit/delete buttons disappeared. I would really like to find some way to edit posts.
So I’m wondering – is there any way to get those links back? And if not, is there another way to edit comments/posts? Thanks.

  • adeydas4, among other things, it’s a bit of a search engine issue, and there’s something to be said for organizational tidyness. 🙂
We’ve always installed WP in a subfolder of root (where the index.php is in root).

Ah, thanks very much. I can see now that it the edit links wouldn’t show up simply because I was trying to edit someone else’s post. 🙂
For me, it’s just an issue of organization. Back when I used b2, I had all of my b2 files in the root folder and it was an organizational nightmare for all of my other files. This is much better!
