Selectable Recipient with Pipes Syntax error

Hi,
So i’m using a drop-down to try to redirect to specific emails as follows:

[select your-recipient “Person One|person@domain.com”
“Person two|person2@domain.com”
“Person three|person3@domain.com”
“Person four|person4@domain.com”]

Then in the Mail tab I added the following in the “To” field:
[your-recipient]

This throws up a syntax error. Any help greatly appreciated!
