searchform open as dropdown

    Hi
    I have just installed the relevanssi plugin and integrated it into my primary menu.
    Now there is the word Searchform.

    I have 2 questions about this:

    Is there now a possibility to add a magnifying glass symbol to this field
    When clicking on the word Searchform, can the search field for entering the term be opened as a kind of dropdown without me being redirected to a new page and only then being able to enter my term?

    Relevanssi doesn’t have any opinions on the search form; that’s up to your theme. You can create any kind of search form on your site: you could have a search form directly in your menu, have it appear when clicked, or create an overlay search form. Possibilities are endless and too wide for me to go into detail here.

    I would recommend asking on the Developing WP support forums, since this isn’t a Relevanssi-specific question. Relevanssi uses common WP search forms and I’m sure there are more people available to help you on the common forums.

    Another option is to hire a local WP developer to help you out; this isn’t a big job for a skilled WP developer.
