Search returns 404
-
I’ve looked everywhere, tried everything. I cannot figure out the issue. Regardless of where I am on site, the search returns a 404. Site URL
What I’ve tried thus far:
I’ve saved permalinks to default (this works just fine). I’ve deactivated all plug-ins. I’ve tried looking into the searchform.php and htaccess.php. I’m using the Roots retlehs theme. I have not uninstalled the theme as I don’t want to lose any of my customization. Or is it safe to switch themes? and Have all your CSS and plugs-ins remain when you switch back?
URL after searching for the string “Heros”:
http://guide.selu.edu:9095/Wordpress/search/HerosAnd here is my htaccess.php:
<?php /** * URL rewriting and addition of HTML5 Boilerplate's .htaccess * * Rewrites currently do not happen for child themes (or network installs) * @todo https://github.com/retlehs/roots/issues/461 * * Rewrite: * /wp-content/themes/themename/css/ to /css/ * /wp-content/themes/themename/js/ to /js/ * /wp-content/themes/themename/img/ to /img/ * /wp-content/plugins/ to /plugins/ * * If you aren't using Apache, alternate configuration settings can be found in the wiki. * * @link https://github.com/retlehs/roots/wiki/Nginx * @link https://github.com/retlehs/roots/wiki/Lighttpd */ if (stristr($_SERVER['SERVER_SOFTWARE'], 'apache') || stristr($_SERVER['SERVER_SOFTWARE'], 'litespeed') !== false) { // Show an admin notice if .htaccess isn't writable function roots_htaccess_writable() { if (!is_writable(get_home_path() . Except maybe to reinstall the theme? But I don’t want to loose any of the changes made to CSS/plug-ins and such.
Thank you in advance for any help on the issue. I’ve hit a brick wall.
