search function and aggregated feeds

I’m currently using Carp to display various RSS feeds. Does anyone know how to make the aggregated feeds searchable from within the Loop? Do I need to use a different aggregator that will cache the feeds to the db? I’m open to using a different aggregator and/or plug-ins if need be. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
