Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
Ok thanks will have a go at that and see what happens.
Thanks.
ok thats them working was a plugin.
i have a few widgets on the front page, how can i remove them.
Can you move widgets now?
yes can move them now but have a few on the front page that dont seem to move from the page

Try adding an empty Text widget to your sidebar.
it goes over but doesnt show. the widgets are in the middle just under the menu. is it maybe the template
the new pages appear underneath the widgets and the widgets not go away they are static

I did a site using webplus and thought this looked like it and easier to edit thanks
Unless you want to start customising the sidebar.php file via a child theme, you might be better off choosing another theme. I’d suggest choosing one from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ that has been updated since 2011
Ok will have a look thanks again
How would you go about getting rid of the line down the right and make the page as one.
Thanks
