    Hi there,

Firstly really love Yoast, have been using the plugin for years.

My problem is that on multiple sites with different themes I’m finding that a lot of Schema markup isn’t working. I can see in the source that Yoast is generating the knowledge graph but when I run the URL through Googles Rich Results test most of the Schema is missing – published date, modified date etc.

    Example URL: http://www.retirementmessageideas.com/retirement-wishes/

I’m sure it’s something obvious I’m just missing but any idea what might be causing this?

    Thanks,

    – Andy

    Hello Andy,

Thanks for reaching out and the kind words.

Pages are given the schema of: Webpage and Posts are given the schema of: Article. These guides explain more: https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/webpage/ and https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/pieces/article/

Moreover, Yoast SEO should automatically output the Article schema type for posts. Can you please go to SEO > Search Appearance > General and make sure that you’ve chosen whether your site represents an organization or a person and that you’ve entered an organization/user name and logo?

If this data is not provided, the schema output may be inaccurate.

    Hi Maybellyne,

Thanks for the reply and apologies for my slowness in getting back to you.

I was certain I’d filled in the organisation name and logo and yet on checking all my websites I found every single one of them was blank! So I corrected that, ran them through the Rich Results Test and everything seems to be working perfectly now. I feel very stupid considering how simple it was!

Thanks so much for your help, and again such a big fan of the plugin.

    – Andy
