– for any cron issue, check out this plugin and see if it will work for you: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/
– also discuss this issue with your hosting provider
I have read all the posts on this and from what I can tell, that plugin doesn’t work. Why would the scheduling just stop working. It has been working fine for months?
Also, why would this have anything to do with my hosting provider? What should I be asking them then?
My husband is a programmer and said the problem is, really, that the wordpress software is developed in the biggest piece of crap language ever invented. That is really your problem, and no doubt has lots of silent failures that you have no idea are even there.

I can share my personal experience with this software, that is, I schedule my posts on my personal blog in advance (since 2008!), and I never had any problem!
That is really your problem
I’m just a volunteer here in these forums.
Well, I’ve never had a problem before either, until last Wednesday night and last night.
So why would it stop working. That is the question I want answered. I’ve installed no new plugins. I can post others just fine, I just press publish and it works.
From what I’ve been reading in the forums it seems like it is a problem that just suddenly starts happening to people.
So basically you are a volunteer, have given me the party line, can’t really help, so I am stuffed. Thanks for trying, but it seems like this is an ongoing issue that has never been resolved.
Hi
There is a plugin that can fix this called the WP missed Schedule here: https://github.com/sLaNGjI/wp-missed-schedule
So I tried the WP plugin for scheduling posts, it missed it again, and published it 4 and half hours later. This is getting ridiculous. There is obviously a problem here, why isn’t anyone looking into it.
