scheduled posts question

Hello, i know that scheduled posts are published once the first visitor comes after the scheduled time is reached.

My website is very young and i dont have many viewers yet, im also in a very different timezone from my readers (8 hours more).

Is they any code or plugin i can use so that the post simply gets published when the time is reached? without the need of a visitor? I want to start generating frequent readers and its important that the post is published at the time given.

The way it is i have to relay on a friend back home remembering to visit the website at the time i tell him, so that the post is published (and automatically shared on social networks) . Since i dont have many viewers yet it seems like the only and highly unrealiable way
