Saving widgets & jQuery UI

    Conceptual question. I’m building a plugin/widget that uses the datepicker() UI widget. It’s used within the widget controls for the user to pick a date.

    Works fine after the widget is saved, but prior to the first save (or when a new widget is first dragged over) datepicker() can’t see the field.

    Is there a way to force WP to autosave a widget immediately?

    I can do a workaround using the live() function, I guess … but I’d still like to know if this is possible.
