Saving my Site Problem
-
Due to lack of development knowledge I have the following problems and one aim.
I want to create/design a website on wordpress.org for a small bussiness. The site will then be ‘taken over’ by a host server. In other words I just need to create the actual site.
Problems are:
I Downloaded WordPress. Fine.
2. Installing it according to your instructions made my life very difficult.
3. I get to the point where I can use the dashboard, etc.
4. I can change whatever I want – it doesnt save and I cant seem to log back in to localhost:XXXXX to finish it.
5. Everytime I try, I get to-re-install wordpress’s last bit over and over again.I am not a developer, simply wanted to use this to create the site and then be taken over to my host provider which will obviously change the site to a .com domain.
Why cant I just setup the site and be able to access it?
In my endeavours to do such, I have installed File Zilla, File Server, etc etc and came across so many ‘things’.
Can someone please explain to me what I actually need to do. All I want is to save my website with my theme and info which will not be for public view now.
Im am at my wits end at re-installing and trying to do self-hosting, MySql, FTP etc. for this. Is this even possible?
