Save Categories button changes categories

    Everytime I hit the “Save Categories” button, it’ll drop some category names, rearrange categories, add blank categories, etc.

    The only weird thing I see with developer tools is that mdocs-script.js loads twice, once with a single slash and one with a double slash (website.com/file/paths//mdocs-script.js). I don’t see any other errors in the javascript.

    Any help with this?

    Hello Amanda,

    Sorry to hear of your issues. Categories is new functionality so I expect to fix some bugs. The best and easiest way for me to fix the issue is to look at the site and see the issue for myself. Could I get a link to the site and if possible access to the dashboard?

    FWIW, I’m having the same problem. Category management just isn’t working correctly – I have empty rows I can’t delete, I’ve lost sub-categories, etc.

    I can let you have a look if you need it.

    If I could that would be very helpful for me, I’ve Truro recreate the problem with no success. Also could u tell me the os and browser?

    Hi

    I am having the same problem with the 2.3.9 version. I have 15 main categories and every time I add a new main category, it takes an existing category and convert it to a subcategory when I hit the save button

    I have a separate posting on it, but I’m running into the same issues… Blank categories, moving categories, wonky subcategories… I’m running 2.6.13.

    Here is an update of my progress with this issue:

    I am continuing to work on it but having found the root cause yet. The issue seems not happen all the time which is taking me longer to debug.

    Please be patient I am working on a solution.
