Version with the issue was 4.2.1, and not version 4.1.2 (I reverted back to 4.1.2 and it works as before)
I have the exact same problem after upgrading to wordpress 3.9.1 and YARPP 4.2.1
For the moment I changed to Jetpack related posts, because YARPP was messing up big time
