• Hi all,

I’ve just installed a WP blog here in french:
    Ciel du mois

On the sidebar, I’ve configured RSS widgets (very cool feature!). I’ve chosen ISO-8859-1 in the WP options for the blog’s encoding, to display the JS module (called PGJ Astro, center page) to display correctly. Unfortunately, the RSS feeds show strange characters even for those encoded in ISO-8859-1 ! If I switch to UTF-8 in my browser, feeds display correctly… but everything else get filled with strange characters.

Do RSS widgets encode feeds differently ?

Many thanks for your help !

  • you have to transcode your blog to utf-8, because it is the best standard for all the languages. It would also make your feeds readable in other blogs.
