RPX:Plugin OpenID Issue
-
I am having a difficult time getting the RPX plugin working properly. I am trying to use it to allow comments to be posted using a person’s OpenID instead of having to register on the blog itself. The plugin installs properly and when I go to make a comment I see the option to “leave a verified comment using an OpenID.” If I select to leave a verified comment it lets me choose the OpenID providers I have configured and I am taken to that provider to enter my password information. This all appears to work correctly.
When I am returned to the blog it just redirects me back to the original post and I am not able to post a comment. I also do not see any users being created in my blog database for these OpenID accounts. I’m not actually certain that is the way it is supposed to work, but that is my understanding, that it would create a user based on the OpenID authentication.
I do think some of the plugin is working because if I leave and come back to the blog it remembers the last OpenID I used to authenticate and asks me if I would like to use it again. I just never get logged in to make a comment.
The test blog is at http://www.designtest.info
