I really need a visible link for a user, not familiar with computers, so there is a place to click on and the person won’t feel stuck. Any ideas?
After a comment I want the user to end up at the home page without doing anything
Well, unless you are a coder and ready to re-write some code – it will not happen.
What do you mean by “without doing anything”? If they are not able to click the home-link… they won’t be able to comment either 🙂
The person in charge has asked me to make a visible link, one clickable, so the user won’t feel stranded, and will know what to do. I was asked to put one on every page. Another way is to make an auto type of thing so after entering something, like a comment, the user returns to home page.
Nothing personal, I am just thinking aloud.
1. Didn’t we go already through this homelink “exercise?
2. If I am doing a work for someone else I never accept the job unless I know perfectly the script I am using.
3. There are plenty of solutions in hundreds of themes how to put a visible “Home” link on a WP site. It will always depend on the theme used.
4. Most users are clued enough to know how to return to a home page (assuming they care enough). Tell the person in charge that.
😉
Thanks for the advise, I can do this in Dreamweaver which is how the whole thing started. I’m just trying to do what was asked, and make it very easy for people to use.
