I wish to restore the database created by Updraftplus but get an error saying it is not a restoration but migration. I dont think this is so, Updraftplus created the backup file and it is a direct restore that is required. I have pasted the warning below

    Warnings:

This backup set is from a different site – this is not a restoration, but a migration. You need the Migrator add-on in order to make this work.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

Could you check that the backup your trying to restores name matches your website address?

Have you also recently upgraded from http to https?

If it is indeed the same site then you should be able to click past that warning and proceed.

    Best Wishes,

    Thanks for reply Ashley

how do I find the names to check they match?

no, not recently upgraded to https but when the site was restores by the host they had to force (whatever that is the re-applying of the ssl cert.

screnario, site restored by host from their backup, updraftplus set to daily backup, few days later need to restore from backup so select the most recent and, voila, error message

I think i did proceed once beyond error message and site did not restore

hope this helps to guide me further

    Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply. If the difference is just http / https, then UpdraftPlus should mention that in the message – does it? In that case, it’s usually no problem to proceed. What is the error message you saw?

    David
