    Run /wp-admin/upgrade.php.

i just did that and it says it worked, it still only shows the default post still.

i ran the backup/restore plugin and selected my backup .sql file from yesterday and it says it …”wp-content/backup/28022005wordpress.sqlRestore successful. “

but when i go to “manage” to see the posts that should have been imported, i still have only the default

i can see the actual 2.3mb 28022005wordpress.sql file, but its not wanting to import i guess

You tried to restore v1.2.x backup into a v1.5 database?! ::sigh:: Unless you made a manual dump of the tables to backup, I think you’re out of luck. The upgrade instructions say backup, then upgrade. Not backup and do a clean install. The only change you really have is to revert back to WP v1.2.x (you backed up your file too, right?) and then properly upgrade to WP v1.5.

it was 1.5 backup, but i updated to strayhorn

If you have phpmyadmin, I would recommend that you use that to restore your sql file.

There is a guide on one of my pages to doing that.
If you run into problems and you keep getting errors, if you mail me the sql file I will check it, ensure it imports into a database here and then get back to you with any issues that it may create.
If you need that I’m in the UK though so there may be time differences between us.

i just emailed you podz, thanks for the help

it was the one click backup for 1.5 macmanx

It would appear – at this stage – there are no issues using the SQL import option in phpMyAdmin
