Reset Password link generation

I originally thought it was best to post this problem in the ticket system over at http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ you can see the ticket i opened here: http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/18771

Basically what is going on is my site has a custom theme and when users use the forgotten password feature to reset their password and follow the link provided when they have successfully reset their password they get an error that reads “Invalid Key”.

After extensive testing (you can refer to my ticket to see the things I have tried) I have come to the conclusion that the problem is my template. I have tested the links on the Twenty Eleven and Twenty Ten themes. The problem exists on the Twenty Eleven theme but not the Twenty Ten theme.
