required fields

I have been fiddling with the Events Manager plug in for awhile for a site I am doing for a class project, and it works great for what I want to do. However, I do not want the location fields to be required and can’t find where it is placed in the code. I inevitably want to delete the country, and city fields altogether, but even when I do that it still comes up with the warning for missing fields with those boxes. Can you tell me where to find this? Thanks!
