Require Second Installation using same database content

Hi Wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a WP site I have created. But now I want to create a mobile version, while I’m aware of plugins I want to create my own mobile site.

I want to create a site in a folder /mobile and for this to use the same database content from the main site. Is this possible?

I thought about just copying the WP folder from the meain site and placing it the /mobile folder, this dosent really work as all the links reverts back to the root.

I think basically I need anothew WP installation under /moobile which will use the database content from the main site, however im not sure if this is right or even possible.

A stepe by step help would be really appreciated as I havent a clue 🙂
