Request a Topic be Stickied?

I’ve seen mods sticky topics for other theme authors in the past as a courtesy.

There’s really no precedent for this, so if I can (if it’s appropriate), how should I (or anyone) request the mods to sticky a topic, now and for future reference?

Please Note – Plugin authors (I’ve been told) have the capability to sticky their own plugin support topics. This capability simply has not been extended to theme authors yet, hence there being a need for mod assistance.
