I have a similar issue. We use NextGen Gallery plugin on our site. When I activate Stream, my stream activity database gets filled with pages of NextGen related “activity” and I can not seem to filter them out.

I have disabled Stream till I can get this issue resolved…
Thanks for the feedback Pepe and Roger. I have tested it and can confirm that this is a bug. Hoping to find a fix soon. You can track the status here: https://github.com/xwp/stream/issues/772
Hi Luke – I upgraded Stream to version 3.0.2 and thought everything was working fine. Then I added an exclusion rule for Logins and Logouts and the problem I reported above re-appeared. I get pages of “activity” generated by NextGen.
That activity only started showing up in the Stream when I added the exclusion rules…
@roger, thanks for that feedback. There wasn’t a fix submitted for this in 3.0.2, I’m aiming for 3.0.3.
@pepe @roger Correia, the Network wide exclude rules not working was fixed in 3.0.3.
The issues that I was seeing generated by the NextGen plugin are still there as shown in the screen shot I sent above. My stream gets filled with hundreds of these activities in a matter of minutes all generated by the NextGen plugin.
Not sure what they are, but it makes Stream not very usable.
I’d recommend using the Exclude Rules to resolve that. They work, now. 😉
The exclude rule requires that I exclude “Posts, From Any User or Role, Updated” which ends up excluding posts from a number of plugins that I can not exclude since they show up as Posts.
