Go into the Customiz’It! customizer and choose “Front page”. In “Front page displays”, choose to have a static page. In the same place, you can allocate a different page for your blog posts to go.
How do I [resolve] a topic when it’s answered (like this one)? Or do I need to be a moderator to do that?
You can use the pull down on the right side of the screen – you need to do so when making a post.
EDIT – only the OP can mark a thread resolved, however – answering a thread does not necessarily mean it’s resolved for the OP.
