Removing Featured images

Hello

My problem is my theme “the cookbook” by themecanon is loading the featured image as a 150x 150 image on all my posts. I’m not using any images in the post. Your plugin works great but I end up with two images. I have contacted the theme author they are no help at all. How can I stop the image from displaying.

Thank you for your time I’m getting frustrated and need to get this fixed.
