Removing Background from Featured Image

Alright so im working on my site here is the link of the page im having trouble with http://www.strewco.com/site/blog/ now if you go to the page and take a look at the back of the featured images there is a white background now I have no idea where this white background is coming from i need help in removing it. Here is how the page template code looks for this site.

is there any way to remove it from here with css or something else.. like an array with a style.
