Remove white border from full screen object

I have an embedded swf file object as an intro (landing page) entrance to the site and despite applying all of the standard code to eliminate a white border around the embedded file it persists. Does this have something to do with the template code–>

}

(This is what’s shown when I “inspect” the white border.)

I am applying the change to only a single page using a per-page-custom-CSS app. If you have advice on how to remove the white border due to coding with the master template, please advise.
