Delete all the files in the repository seems like the obvious way. Or all the files in the trunk, at least.
Tried that. It’s still hosted here…
delete all files, and then remember to do a commit.
Wow. I can’t believe there is no way to remove a plugin that I authored.
Anyone ever get an answer how to delete a plugin? I’m getting some very rude comments because I didn’t release a version yet. Part of the problem is WordPress automatically listed my plugin (which wasn’t tagged) and I’m now getting nasty comments.
Please, this is really necessary. I need to remove a plugin…

I really need to delete an old plugin. It’s causing confusion with the new plugin name!
I have already sent wordpress a bug report (though I know this is not a bug) about my request for deletion or for any information on how to delete one…
I have desperately done that because there is no option to delete a plugin from their repository. But still, there is no response whatsoever on my request to delete the test plugin I have created.
I too need to remove a plugin and re release it as GNU/GPL according to their rules but I simply can’t get a moderator to even moderate the posts.
Anybody else ever get an answer?
So, it turns out you can email your request to plugins@wordpress.org and they should remove your plugin from wordpress.org, but not from the actual SVN repository.
