how can I remove the image captions from the post excerpts in the newsletter?

On the latest version of MailPoet (2.6.15). When you include a post excerpt with the widget “WordPress Posts” on the editor (Step 2), the images that contain a caption won’t show that caption. Check your MailPoet version.

Any idea when this is getting fixed, as it still seems to be present in the version i’m running, which is 2.6.19?

The latest version is 2.7.
