Hey “thespaniard” see if you have background color for header and try removing it.
See if that helps.
I don’t see the option to edit background color in the theme options or in header.php. Where would I edit that? Sorry, I’m a bit new at this.

You don’t edit the theme’s files.
You create new styles and put them in a plugin that facilitates custom CSS functionality or a Child Theme style.css file.
True I should have mention that..
It ended up being an image in style.css that had to be removed. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Much appreciated.
Should I remove the image another way?
