wondering if I can remove the word “county” from State/County in the Submission Form

We don’t ask for county and we don’t use it. I have the “free” version of this plugin. I’m not sure if the Event Submission Form can be edited at all in the free version.

The submission form can be edited by creating a custom version of this file:
/events-manager/templates/forms/event/location.php

This tutorial explains how to create custom templates that are upgrade-safe:
