remove blog/posts page

Hi,
I have a very rudimentary website that started out as a blog (it had a blog section for posts/updates, etc.) However, I don’t think I want to do a blog anymore. I just want a fairly “static” website that displays my work but doesn’t really have posts and updates added often. How do I hide or remove the blog section?
