Relevance issue

    Hello,

    I have a very simple setup, I search through 1 post type and added 1 custom field in the search, this field is a code with number/letter/spaces. The search find the post with that code but it is in the last position instead of the first position…do you have any suggestions?

    Can you please give me an example of a code?

    The first thing you can do is to check the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). It will show you the relevance value for each post. Search for a code and confirm that the posts are appearing in the order of relevance and that the post matching the code is really ranked lowest by Relevanssi.

    If that is indeed the case, I’m guessing the spaces may be the problem. Spaces in the code will split the code into multiple words, which may affect the relevance.
