Register Form Disappeared
-
Hi Simple,
The register form disappeared after I clicked the registered button. I have to refresh the browser to bring the form back.. In most cases shouldn’t be this way! The new user did go thru tho..
Also, when it’s back after refreshing the browser, the registered user info still exist? I have to select all, hit the delete button to clear it, that’s NOT user friendly overall.. Is there’s a [clear-form] button hook it in, or perhaps have one on the next update version?
Please advise help,
Thanks

Do you have a cache plugin installed in your site? If you do, have you excluded the registration page from being cached?
The following documentation might also help.
Let me know how you go.
Thank you.
Hello simple,
Yes, I am using a caching plugin and is active working. However, I just did another register test. The registration form is disappeared still?
However, I did received the email details showing the registered username and password. And there’s NO actual activation link to click to trigger the account? Most activation links in general are combined with numbers+letter…. Except what I see is this link http://www.mysite.com/membership-login/ This just a normal login page.
In general activate link speaking, if they DON’T click the activation link FROM their email address, no matter how they try to login, they can’t UNTIL they actual click the activation link from their email was provided.
In this case, people can registered hundred times and able to login WITHOUT activation?
I didn’t put anything in because I don’t want them to redirect to the login page, NOT until they activate the link. So it’s more of a legal registered account??! ..
But ya, I did looked at the document example. After Registration Redirect URL Is the same path what I got from the email? This mean it redirect them to the login page the minute they registered. Again, don’t they have to activated their account first?
Please advise understanding help.
Thanks-

Hi,

If the member is registering for a free account, they will not see a link to activate their account in the e-mail they receive (This might change in the future.). Currently only paid registration accounts receive an e-mail with a link to activate the account.
In this case, people can registered hundred times and able to login WITHOUT activation?
You can prevent this from happening by setting the following feature Default Account Status to Pending.
Let me know if the above helps you in any way.
Thank you
Hi Simple,
Ok, honest to say, only few to several sites MUST paid first to access the site. For the majority websites are free to join nowadays, and hopefully able to keep the registered members to stay. Yes, a lot of sites out there, not all are successful, especially small site owner will try very very hard just to keep the members, even is free to join. People are on high demand nowadays, if they see a dollar sign have to paid just to become a member? mostly is a NO and leave the site, that means loosing members. I’m sure we all been there.. If the members had joined, at least an options if they wants to upgrade? At least it constantly having members to join and hope to upgrade their membership to make money. Just like your add-on plugins, more members to buy the plugins, more money in your pocket!
Pending account? That’s old school… You are talking about the 80’s. Again, people are high demand. Site owners can’t stay up 24/7 just to approve them. Once people registered for any sites, we want to access the site instantly. Not have to wait for hours or days to get approval. That’s means loosing members.
Ok, suppose, the site owners went camping for 5 days and NO signal to get online, or being hospitalized for 5 days or more. There still many hospitals have no internet access in the patient rooms. No approval, it mean loosing members again, also means loosing money for lifetime.
Really looking forward for this activation feature, it’s also to protect the site for security reason.
Thanks for your help,

As I mentioned in my previous comment,(This might change in the future.). The developers will probably be changing this process in a future release. You can check the current registration process.
Kind regards
Normally, for free membership we just let the user go through easily since it is for a free level. Most of our users just want an easy solution for this. The admin can always delete profiles if they want to (at a later time). But I do understand what you are saying. I plan to add another option in the plugin so you can require the free level users to have to click on some kind of activation link.
Hi Simple,
Yes, with that activation key, it’s definitely a great benefit the websites and the plugin all aspects. I just want to point out all the scenarios how important to have an access key.
Thank you for your understanding.
Looking forward for this new feature on the updater.
Thanks you so much! 🙂
