    Hi
I am receiving alerts from Google search console and one of them refers to redirect errors on the following urls:
    https://yachtsandproperty.com/mallorca/finca-near-colonia-san-pere/
    https://yachtsandproperty.com/private-air-charters/
    https://www.yachtsandproperty.com/free-ads/
I have no redirects currently set up but I used to use yoast premium where many redirects were set up. I now have a redirects plugin where I could import yoasts redirects but from previous communication with yoast I was told now that I am using the free version of the plugin there is no easy way to download the Yoast premium redirects as a CSV, it was suggested that if I have the old plugin to try installing that and then downlaoding them. I do have an old zip file from 2016, which I tried installing but it didnt give me access to any premium features. I would be unhappy if the plugin has left me in a situation that is causing me problems and the only way to resolve that is to pay you for the premium plugin. Is there anyway, you can give me access to the premium features just so I can download that csv, thenyou can go ahead and turn off the premium service. I hope you can help a customer who did use you for several years. Regards,

  • Once the Yoast SEO Premium subscription expires, you can continue using the premium plugin. This means, all the redirects that you have on your website should be available and you can still access them.

However, if you have already downgraded to Yoast SEO free and you don’t have a copy of the Yoast SEO Premium that you can reinstall, we are afraid to say that there’s no option for you to get the redirects that you had with the Yoast SEO Premium if you were using the PHP redirects method.

However, if you have used the .htaccess redirects method in the Yoast SEO Premium redirects manager, you should be able to find all the relevant redirects directly to the .htaccess file on your site.

In regards to the alerts in Google Search Console, we have tested the relevant URLs that you have shared with us and can see the relevant URLs aren’t loading at all and showing ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error. This issue occurs when there’s a redirect chain. In addition, we can confirm the relevant redirects aren’t generated by Yoast SEO free or Yoast SEO Premium plugin, nor we can exactly confirm how the relevant redirects are being generated on your site. So, once you find and fix the relevant redirects, the relevant alerts in Google Search Console shall disappear.

Naturally I am extremely unhappy to hear this and feel like I’m being bullied in to paying for Yoast Premium which is not going to happen. If you cannot / will not help me download the redirects your plugin installed in my database, at least tell me how to delete them, so that I stop getting these issues ?

We are sorry to hear that you feel that way. We didn’t mean that you’ll need to have the premium subscription to receive support here. The forum here is public and specific to Yoast SEO Premium and we’re trying our best to answer your queries.

As mentioned already, the redirects you’re seeing aren’t specific to the Yoast SEO Premium plugin as that what we have found in our testing.

On the other hand, if you are still using Yoast SEO Premium, you can find all the available redirects directly under the SEO → Redirects page. However, if you are not using the Yoast SEO Premium plugin anymore but downgraded to Yoast SEO free, you won’t have access to the relevant redirects anymore, nor the relevant redirects will have any effect since the plugin is no longer active. So, the redirect feature is currently disabled now.

That said, please refer to the following as mentioned already:

If you have used the .htaccess redirects method in the Yoast SEO Premium redirects manager, you should be able to find all the relevant redirects directly to the .htaccess file on your site.

However, if you weren’t using the .htaccess redirects method but the PHP redirects method instead, the redirects are still in the database but those have no effect at all.

We hope that clarifies your queries now!

As Ive repeatedly told you, I’m not using Premium and given this experience will never use it again. If you cant help me download the redirects without blackmailing me in to buying your premium plugin, tell me how to delete the redirects from my database.

    Hi @robertham,

You mentioned several questions, so we are responding to each one below.

    Too many redirects error:
For the original problem you mentioned with redirects, we’d just like to emphasize that it’s not possible for Yoast SEO or Yoast SEO Premium to cause the problem if you’ve deactivated the premium plugin and do not have any Yoast redirects in your .htaccess file.

According to the headers of the example redirects that you shared with us, it’s showing that the initial redirect is being done by WordPress. See this screenshot.

You may need to check your server configuration files for an incorrect redirect or do a conflict check to see if you can identify any plugin causing the problem. We have a step-by-step guide here: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    Exporting or deleting premium redirects:
All the data from Yoast SEO and Yoast SEO Premium is stored in your database, so we’d like to reassure you that there’s no need to force you to upgrade to premium to access your database.

There have been changes to where Yoast SEO stores data since 4 years ago, but you should be able to find any redirects you’ve added in the past by searching the database for wpseo.

We hope you’ll understand that our tool to export premium redirects is not included in the free version of Yoast SEO. However, there’s nothing preventing you from exporting the redirects manually from the database.

If you’re not familiar with how to access and search your database, we recommend contacting your hosting provider or a developer for more specific help with this.

Please note that We’re limited to supporting the free features in Yoast SEO on these forums by the WordPress.org forum guidelines: see Do Not Post About Commercial Products.

We can imagine that this situation isn’t ideal, but we hope you’ll be able to resolve the redirect problem with the information we’ve provided.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
